Tracing Where the Game of Craps Originated

Gaming can traced its origins from the early ancestors of man carving out symbols on the remains of human beings and even dead animals like sheep, which are worshipped by ancient people because they are a reliable source of food and nourishment. Early men also use the bones of the dead relatives and even well-respected warriors to record important events like weddings and other important occasions on the tribe.

The first craps gamblers were straight minded people who use the dice to know what they can plant on their field, what place they can raid and even who to court and marry. There is really no reason why our ancient ancestors ever enjoyed the game of craps, aside from the rush and excitement that the game offers and the chance to win something.

But present craps gamblers must tossed the dice and hit the wall, which are not composed of bones anymore but of acetate and the present players not only have to think about the plan of the gods like Luck, but they must also follow the different rules that are made by humans, some carved in stone by the casino facilities and some assumed by players.

Craps came from the word "crabs", which are usually use by players living in the Southern Mississippi area. They did not actually made the word but they did imitate the name of the English game called "Hazard". But with their accent, some people understand the word "crabs" as "craps". It was then introduced to the places in the Northern area of the country.

With such a prestigious roots, craps is a staple game in most casino facilities. It is a group affair; a single roll of the player can affect the bets of all the players in the table. The game also offers an adrenaline rush that players cannot find in any other casino game.

The craps gaming layout, which was made by John H. Winn back in 1907 and modified by him for a couple of years, is a composition of different lone and paired wagers, some put down by the gamblers themselves, some place by casino dealers for the players and some put down by both sides.
